| We specialize in heirloom tomatoes. Each year we have around twenty varieties in a wide range of colors, sizes and flavors. We also have unusual and hard to find gourd, squash and pumpkin plants, a selection of vegetable and herb plants, and gourds. You can expect our plants to be quite large and ready to be planted in your garden. This year, we are offering a limited number of tomato plants grown in their own manure pots which can be transplanted into the garden intact in their pots. This keeps the roots from being disturbed and also keeps plastic pots out of our landfill. The regular tomato price is five dollars a plant; the tomato plants in these pots will be a dollar more. All of our plants are grown with love right here in Boise, Idaho and are available on Saturdays at the Capital City Public Market. The market is open from 9:30 until 1:30 and we can be found on 8th Street between Bannock and Idaho. Please click on the Tomatoes 2009 link for a list and descriptions of our 2009 tomato varieties. PLEASE NOTE: We have decided that as good stewards of the earth, we must stop using plastic bags. We are hoping to have reusable bags available for purchase; in the case that they are not ready for market opening, please plan to bring your own bags. Thank you! |
